A coordination meeting was held in the afternoon of August 17, 2026, at the Yangon Branch Office of the Myanmar Red Cross Society (MRCS) to make the necessary arrangements for the 23rd Southeast Asia Red Cross and Red Crescent Leaders’ Meeting, which will be hosted by the Myanmar Red Cross Society.

At the meeting, Professor Dr. Myo Nyunt, President of the Myanmar Red Cross Society and Chairperson of the Organizing Committee, delivered the opening remarks. Daw Aye Aye Nyein, Deputy Secretary-General, then presented an update on the preparations and arrangements made for the meeting.

Following the presentation, responsible officials from the respective working committees reported on the progress of their assigned tasks. The participants discussed the matters presented, and Professor Dr. Myo Nyunt, President of the Myanmar Red Cross Society, coordinated and provided guidance on the necessary arrangements and requirements.

The meeting was attended by Professor Dr. Myo Nyunt, President of the Myanmar Red Cross Society, Vice President Dr. Daw Tin Tin Lay, Executive Committee members, Deputy Secretaries-General, Assistant Secretary-General, members of the Organizing Committee, responsible officials from the various working committees, and invited representatives from relevant departments.
