Mobile Repair Service Program of HORC that saves time and energy

Ma Hla Myo Thwe is preparing to go to the Thaton MRCS branch o_ce for foot replacement that will be provided by HORC’s mobile repair service program (MRS). 32 years old, a married woman has a son who is 8 year old and attending the primary school. Her right leg was amputated due to train accident at the age of 12. She has received prosthesis in 2003 at HORC and now she is working as daily worker at peanut jam and snack small job.

MRS has implemented in July 2014. For users who needs repair service such as foot and strap change do not need to come back to the centre and can get repair service at their town that Benet of saving time and money, not missing the daily work. HORC mobile team consist of Prosthetic technician, Physiotherapy staff, Outreach 0fficer and Bench Workers go to the coverage area once a year and provide necessary service within hours. If new device needs, refers to the centre by appointment.

Ma Hla Myo Thwe explains “It is convenient for me to receive service here. It waste of time and miss daily work to go to HORC. Now just to request the employer for a few time and no wages deduction. I prefer to receive Mobile repair service in every year.
