Earthquake Response: Cash Relief, Food Items and Non-Food Items Distribution in Naypyitaw.

RThe Myanmar Red Cross Society provides Humanitarian aid to earthquake-affected people in Nay Pyi Taw. The Myanmar Red Cross Society has been providing the health care sector, (111)  people were transported by ambulance and (187) people were provided with psychosocial support to the earthquake-affected people in Nay Pyi Taw for more than three months, from the start of the earthquake on March 28th until today. In the water and sanitation sector, more than 390,000 liters of drinking water were produced and distributed to 16,732 people in need of drinking water. Similarly, 12 latrines were also constructed in temporary shelters. In the cash assistance sector, a total of 193,300,000 kyats was provided to the earthquake-affected people, at a rate of 50,000 kyats per household for 3,866 households. For the food and non-food items sector, 325 shelter tools kits, 1,594 tarpaulins, 532 kitchen kits, 85 family tents, 50 temporary (small) tents, 368 boxes of personal hygiene kits, 1,176 buckets of water, 1,101 blankets and 740 mosquito nets were also provided.  In addition, rice, cooking oil, and other food items were distributed to 26,885 people and the general knowledge about the personal hygiene was successfully shared to 412 people.
