Myanmar Red Cross Society provides aid to flood victims

Myanmar Red Cross Society (MRCS) has been providing aid to the people in flooded areas in Mon and Kayin states, Bago and Taninthayi regions and Naypyitaw. Until 30 July, the MRCS has provided 300 hygiene parcels and 300 dignity kits to the flood victims and additionally provided rain coats, helmets and flags to the volunteers of MRCS who worked in the flood-stricken areas of Ye, Thaton, Bilin and Paung in Mon State.

The MRCS also provided first aid, drinking water and ready meals as well as 400 mosquito nets, 40 family kits, 100 dignity kits for women, 2,200 water purification tablets and 400 packs of electrolyte powder to the flood affected community in the towns  of Hpa-an, Hlaingbwe, Kya-in-Seikkgyi, Myawaddy and Papun in Kayin State.

Similarly, 700 hygiene parcels, 300 dignity kits for women200 sheets of tarpaulin,1,200 packs of electrolyte powder and other requirements were also provided to the flood victims in the townships of Bago, Waw, DaikU, Shwegyin and Kyaukgyi in Bago Region. MRCS also provided rescue materials, including 40 family kits, dignity kits for women, 30 sheets of tarpaulins, 500 packs of electrolyte powder for the flood-stricken damaged houses in Lewe Township in Nay Pyi Taw.

Moreover, MRCS also provided safety materials to the rescue volunteers of MRCS. MRCS is providing humanitarian services, with over 250 volunteers, to the people in the flooded areas of Nay Pyi Taw, Bago, Taninthayi, Mon and Kayin States.
